The Experience Behind The Work
Claudia Taboada’s path to becoming The Midlife Success Mentor™ was shaped by personal loss, recovery, and a deep commitment to helping women reclaim their health, their confidence, and their unstoppable identities.
Before she became known for her work in midlife resilience, Claudia Taboada was a labour an employment attorney in Montreal. That trajectory changed when her son Nico was diagnosed with autism. What was supposed a one year sabbatical turned into years due to the severity of Nico’s autism, the lack of educational alternatives, and the lack of flexibility of the law profession. So Claudia stepped away from law to become Nico’s full-time caregiver, navigating the demands of autism parenting while carrying the weight of constant responsibility.
Years of chronic caregiver stress slowly eroded her health. What began as exhaustion eventually became burnout, depression, and post‑traumatic stress disorder. During that period Claudia also experienced the loss of her professional identity and the unraveling of her marriage, leaving her to rebuild nearly every aspect of her life.
Recovery required more than rest. Claudia committed herself to understanding resilience, stress physiology, movement, and mindset. Through that process she gradually restored her health and rebuilt her sense of purpose, eventually emerging as a coach, author, and speaker focused on burnout recovery and stress resilience for women.
For many years she was known as the person who could handle anything. Then, in her early fifties, menopause introduced a new challenge.
Despite maintaining the habits that had supported her recovery, and being a burnout recovery and stress resilience coach, Claudia experienced rapid weight gain, loss of muscle mass, nervous system overload, and slower recovery from stress.
Those experiences revealed a critical gap in the conversation around midlife women’s health. Menopause changes how the body responds to stress, metabolism, and performance, yet many women receive little guidance on how to adapt their strategies.
Determined to understand these changes, Claudia pursued her education and became a menopause specialist. She expanded her work beyond burnout recovery to develop a comprehensive approach to midlife health that addresses hormones, strength, resilience, and sustainable success.
Today Claudia is an international speaker, a bestselling author, and a recognized voice in menopause education and stress resilience. Perfectly trilingual in English, Spanish, and French, she has delivered presentations at conferences and summits across the world, including in person and online events in New York, Barcelona, Miami, and Paris.
Her work now centers on helping ambitious women over 45 master menopause, rebuild strength, and pursue their goals with energy and clarity.
